William J. Hozack
M.D.Dr. William J. Hozack, Director of the Joint Replacement
Service at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, has a world-wide
reputation for excellence in hip and knee replacement surgery.
Orthopaedic surgeons from around the globe visit on a regular
basis to learn his techniques. Dr. Hozack is Professor of
Orthopaedic Surgery at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas
Jefferson University. Dr. Hozack graduated cum laude from
Harvard University and was first in his class at McGill Medical
School. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University
of Pennsylvania. He then performed a fellowship in joint replacement
surgery at the Rothman Institute. The recipient of multiple
awards including a Rhodes Scholar candidacy, he has conducted
ground-breaking research in the field of joint replacement.
Dr. Hozack is an assistant editor-in-chief of the Journal
of Arthroplasty and a member of the Hip Society. He specializes
in reconstructive problems of the hip and knee, and the treatment
of hip and knee disorders in young adults.
