We invite you to learn about Chilean History and Chilean People by visiting two of its best museums, The Beauix-Arts National Museum and The Precolumbian Museum.
Both museums are located in down town Santiago. In the way to the museums we will be able to appreciate part of the business aswell as residential areas of Santiago.
We will drive allong the Parque Forestal avenue where m any monuments, sculptures, and species of trees are found. It is a must on Sundays for the people of Santiago, who come here for their weekly stroll. It is especially pretty in autumn and a blessing on hot summer days. It is an oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle and noise of the large city
The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes was stablished in September 1880 (The first of its kind in South America) Its current building inspired by the Petit Palais de Paris was build in 1990.
The Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino is located in the heart of downtown Santiago, a block from the centrally situated Plaza de Armas square:
The Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino opened its doors to the public in December 1981.
Creating an institution to conserve, study and diffuse the artistic legacy of the pre-Columbian peoples of all of the Americas was a pioneering, and remains a unique, initiative in Latin America.
